vBlog #005: Conflict

Conflict. It’s part of life, that’s why we connect it so well in stories. But how do you give conflict meaning? The answer is pretty simple, actually.

Kevin, this is another great tool and resource to use in making writing as realistic as possible. I’ve only begun to write, really only started in April. Your blog posts are extremely helpful from the writer’s point-of-view. This point about Conflict is something we all need to consider in writing. Our characters, as real as they may seem to us are only as real as the conflicts they encounter, and on what path they encounter them.

I am having audio issues. :( I turned the youtube vid all the way up and my own computer audio all the way up. Still couldn’t hear you. :( I’d like to know what you’re saying about conflict.

Hey Megan, I think I got it resolved. Check it out now and let me know if it works.

  4. Megan:

I can hear you now. (: Good stuff. I’m definitely going to be re-watching that video.

I could only barely make out what you were saying… Again with YouTube and computer volume at max.

But I did manage to hear what you were saying. Once again, some great advice. :)

I’m in a tough spot right now, in my story. Thanks for the reminder about character motivation. It’s a good place for me to start, in trying to work through this hurdle.

All your blogs and vlogs are immensely helpful. Thanks so much for caring about all us little writers out here! :)

Yeah, I had to turn this one up. Funny part was the loud sound at the beginning made the dogs in the other room bark. *snicker*

    All that to say thanks.
