I have little doubt about the future being ebooks instead of today's normal books. That sucks. I wish with every bone in my body that we kept technology out of reading. Personally, I hate reading any lengthy stories on the computer--It's simply not the same as lying in bed at night reading a book. I love books. If there is any possible chance, then I'm going to stick with books. I never want to shift to reading ebooks.

In saying that, I'm most definitely hearing your advice and have enough common sense to know that if I applied my previously mentioned attitude in regards to READING to my WRITING, my life long dream (however short my life has been thus far) of being an author will be a whole lot less likely to succeed. As I said before, I have no doubt at all about the shift to ebooks eventually. I don't like it, but it's inevitable. (Unless, of course, the majority of readers share my opinion, which would be awesome. That would not only save publishers, but keep me happy. :D )

I think e-books will eventually take over for paper books as a way to conserve trees or something. Plus who honestly wouldn't want to consolidate their entire bookshelf into one machine with all their books on memory and available at the push of the touch screen? Eventually prices will come down on Kindles and other similar devices. Personally I like reading paper books, it feels natural and normal. My kids if/when I have them will probably think it's natural and normal to just scroll down an electronic display instead of turn the page.

Thanks for the heads up on this shift, I hadn't thought about it. Can't wait to hear about building brands and audience, that sounds exciting!!!
